I recently heard a speaker share a message about taking risks. She used a beautiful illustration of a person holding tightly to the edge of the pool before learning how to swim. Maybe you can recall that moment in your life when you finally had the courage to let go and allow your body to float. It's terrifying but it's the only way to swim. You have to let go and be free to move through the water.
And so it is with life, and our walk with God. We have to take a risk to accomplish or experience something new. Life may be easier if you play it safe but you may quite possibly be missing out on the experience of a lifetime. I have testimony after testimony of how I took a step of faith, having no idea of the outcome - and seeing God move on my behalf. That's what faith is all about! The more often you "let go" the more you will come to depend on God and not yourself. Most of us can't explain WHY we float, we just know we need to relax and trust the process.
I don't know what God is asking from you today but I know He will never let you go!
"I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God"
