Just One Touch

Here we are – right smack in the middle of the Christmas season. Are you up to your eyeballs with things you HAVE to do, things you NEED to do, and things you WANT to do (if you can only find time time)? Stop right now, yes RIGHT NOW and take a deep breath. It’s Christmas, and you are blessed. Just close your eyes and thank God for something beautiful in your life. Thankfulness always make us feel better.

Whatever your expectations are for the coming days, consider doing something “outside of ordinary”. I challenge you to TOUCH A LIFE. It might be as simple as a phone call or a Facebook message. Perhaps you could buy a small gift for someone you know won’t be getting many presents – surprise them. Maybe you could bring a plate of cookies to that cranky neighbor. They may not smile, but their heart will.

My co-worker’s daughter recently had a birthday. When he went to the bakery to pick up her cake he was informed that it was already paid for. As he stood their puzzled, the bakery manager handed him a note that explained a woman had come into the store and asked if she could pay for a child’s birthday cake. You see, she had lost her child and she wanted the joy of buying a birthday cake for another child. Every time I share that story it touches another life.

So be it simple, or be it grand…touch a life this Christmas season. Jesus gave His life, so you could share His love.

I’m going to take the next couple of weeks and share some love with my family. I’m sure I’ll gather more stories and insights to share with you in the coming year.

In the meantime, MERRY CHRISTMAS…thanks for hanging with me this year!
